Best THC-Free CBD Oils (2026)

Proof publishes this list and ranks its own product first. We explain how we chose every pick, and you can check each brand's lab results yourself.

A THC-free CBD oil is only as THC-free as its lab report says. The best ones back the label with a certificate of analysis (COA) that reports total THC as "not detected" (ND) on the finished product, and tell you which lab ran the test and when. We looked for exactly that, and where we could not read a COA ourselves, we say so and quote the brand's own THC statement instead.

Our own Proof CBD Comfort Drops come first, and we are upfront about their limits. Four of the six other oils on this list had a COA we could read with total THC not detected; for the other two, we rely on the brand's own THC-free statement. We also explain which popular "THC-free" oils we left off, and why.

One important caution: "not detected" means below the lab's limit of detection, not a guaranteed zero. No oil on this list can promise you will pass a drug test. Our guide to whether CBD shows up on a drug test explains why.

How we chose

Every pick had to meet the first two criteria. The rest decided the order.

1. Public lab results on the brand's own site. We dropped Lazarus Naturals, Extract Labs, and CBDistillery because their sites blocked our requests and we could not confirm their lab pages.
2. THC support. A COA we read showing total THC not detected, or an explicit THC-free statement from the brand. A measured THC amount on the COA disqualifies a product, whatever the label says.
3. Report scope. Whether the finished-product COA includes pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, mycotoxins, and microbials.
4. Report recency. We list the date on the COA we read.
5. Price. The one-time price listed on the brand's site on 23 Sep 2026.

What we left off, and why. FOCL's Good Night Broad Spectrum Sleep Drops are labeled THC-free, but the April 2024 COA linked from the product page reports 0.29 mg of total THC per container. cbdMD's broad-spectrum tincture says it is "batch-tested to ensure no detectable THC," but the same page also warns that it "contains THC derived from hemp," so we left it for our broad-spectrum brands list. Kanibi's isolate oil COA (March 2023) reports delta-9 THC below the limit of quantitation, which is not the same as not detected.

1. Proof CBD Comfort Drops

Proof CBD Comfort Drops are broad-spectrum hemp extract in MCT coconut oil: 1,000 mg of CBD in a 15 ml bottle, 30 doses of about 33 mg, listed at $35. The finished-product COA from SC Labs (Santa Cruz, California; ISO/IEC 17025), issued 15 May 2025 for batch HT0101-050325, reports total THC not detected and 1,027 mg total CBD. Every report is on our lab testing page.

Comfort Drops are not the only Proof product with that result. Our CBD + CBN Sleepy Drops (SC Labs, 15 May 2025) and Pets CBD Drops (SC Labs, 12 May 2025) also show total THC not detected on their finished-product COAs.

Proof is women-owned and based in Sebastopol, in Sonoma County, California, making CBD products since 2016. Co-founder and CEO Sarah Miletich, who holds a BS in Organic Chemistry, formulates and quality-checks every batch. To be precise about what is tested: our finished-product COAs cover potency and microbials. The full contaminant panels are posted for the raw ingredients, including the CBD distillate (KCA Laboratories, November 2025, THC not detected).

Good fit if: you want a THC-not-detected result on the finished bottle and a $35 listed price.

Not the best fit if: you want several strengths (Comfort Drops come in one), or you want contaminant panels on a finished-product COA newer than May 2025. And if you would rather have a full-spectrum oil, Proof does not make one.

2. R+R Medicinals Multifunctional THC-Free CBD Tinctures

R+R's THC-free tincture pairs a recent report with a full contaminant panel on the finished bottle. The COA for lot 7006B (1,000 mg Fresh Mint, SC Labs, issued 16 Jul 2026) shows pesticides, mycotoxins, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbiology all passing, total THC not detected, and 1,092.96 mg total CBD per unit. The product page describes "non-detectable levels of THC according to HPLC analysis by third-party labs."

Each 1 mL serving has about 33.33 mg of CBD plus roughly 5 mg of minor cannabinoids (CBC, CBG, CBT, CBD-A, CBE, CBDv, CBN), 30 servings per 1 fl oz bottle, listed at $58. Lot-level PDFs are on its lab testing page.

Good fit if: you want a recent full-panel, THC-not-detected report on the finished bottle, plus a wide minor-cannabinoid profile.

Not the best fit if: you are shopping mainly on price; it is listed at $58 for 1,000 mg.

3. NuLeaf Naturals Broad Spectrum CBD Oil

NuLeaf, based in Denver, Colorado, says its broad-spectrum oil is "USDA Certified Organic and THC Free." The COA we read (lot 3207-J5a, Kaycha Labs, Denver, ISO 17025, signed 9 Nov 2025) is a finished-tincture report with pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, mycotoxins, and solvents all passing, and total THC ND. Batch PDFs and a batch-ID search are on its lab reports page.

The 1,800 mg bottle (30 mL) is listed at $84 for non-members. A lower member price is also shown; we quote the non-member price.

Good fit if: you want organic certification, high strength, and a full-panel COA on the finished oil.

Not the best fit if: you want a lower up-front price, or you would rather not navigate member pricing.

4. Sunday Scaries CBD Oil for Stress

Sunday Scaries posts lot-named PDFs on its lab results page. The COA we read for this oil (lot FO080926, SC Labs, issued 25 Jul 2026) shows total THC not detected, 550.23 mg of total CBD per unit, and passing results for pesticides, mycotoxins, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbiology.

It is a 500 mg broad-spectrum oil in 30 mL, about 17 mg of CBD per dropper, with CBN, CBC, and CBDV, plus added vitamin B12 and D3. It is listed at $49 for a single bottle.

Good fit if: you want a lower-strength THC-not-detected oil with a recent full-panel report.

Not the best fit if: you prefer an oil without added vitamins, or you want more CBD per bottle.

5. Joy Organics Organic THC-Free CBD Tincture

Joy Organics, based in Fort Collins, Colorado, makes this oil from two ingredients: organic olive oil and organic broad-spectrum hemp extract. The 900 mg size is listed at $49.95, with 1,350 and 2,250 mg options. COAs are listed by lot on its quality assurance page.

The COA we read (1,350 mg unflavored, lot 260326A, SC Labs, potency issued 25 Mar 2026) shows total THC not detected, plus 168 mg of CBG per unit. It also measured 1,939.65 mg of CBD against a 1,350 mg label, about 144% by our arithmetic. The finished-bottle reports cover potency and microbiology; the pesticide and solvent report appears to cover the hemp extract lot, not the bottle.

Good fit if: you want USDA organic, an olive oil carrier, and a notable CBG content.

Not the best fit if: you want measured CBD close to the label, or full panels on the finished bottle.

6. Charlotte's Web Daily Care 25MG THC-Free CBD Oil

Charlotte's Web defines its terms on the page: "THC-Free means < 0.05mg THC per serving," and the product is described as "less than 0.01% (or 100ppm) of THC." That is a specific cap, but it is not the same as "not detected." The THC-free COA PDF we found was an image file we could not read, so we rely on the brand's statement here. Lot lookup is on its certificates of analysis page.

The oil provides about 25 mg of broad-spectrum CBD per 1 mL serving in a 30 mL bottle, listed at $49.99 (Mint Chocolate). The page does not print total CBD per bottle.

Good fit if: you want a written, numeric definition of what THC-free means.

Not the best fit if: you want a COA showing THC not detected, or a per-bottle CBD total on the label. The product page also said it could not ship to our location, so check shipping to your state.

7. Medterra Enhanced Relief Broad Spectrum CBD Oil

Medterra, based in Irvine, California, states that "our Broad Spectrum products are THC-free." This oil lists CBG, CBN, CBC, and CBDV plus terpenes, with 1,000 mg over 30 servings (about 33 mg per full dropper), listed at $64.99 one-time.

Its certificates of analysis page links to a shared folder of COAs. We could not read those files, and the page does not name the lab. It does state that Medterra products are not tested for herbicides such as glyphosate.

Good fit if: you want a broad-spectrum oil with several named minor cannabinoids.

Not the best fit if: you want a named lab, a COA you can open directly on the product page, or glyphosate testing.

FAQ

Is THC-free CBD oil really zero THC?

Not necessarily. "Not detected" means below the lab's limit of detection, and some brands define THC-free as a small maximum amount per serving. Read the COA and look for "Total THC," which includes THCa. Our COA reading guide shows how.

Will THC-free CBD oil make me fail a drug test?

What is the difference between THC-free, broad-spectrum, and isolate?

Broad-spectrum keeps CBD and other hemp compounds while aiming to remove THC. Isolate is CBD alone. "THC-free" is a marketing claim that either can make; the lab report is how you check it. Our CBD vs THC guide explains the two compounds.
