How to Make CBD Infused Bath Salts

Looking for an easy way to turn your bathroom into a spa? Making CBD infused bath salts at home is simple, affordable, and incredibly effective for deep relaxation. Whether you need help winding down at night or soothing sore muscles after a long day, CBD bath salts are one of my favorite self-care hacks.

What You’ll Need

  • Epsom salts - any pure bath salt
  • CBD drops - Proof’s CBD Drops are perfect for anytime and we recommend the Sleepy Drops for nighttime baths
  • Essential oils - any combination will work. We like lavender and mint.

Step-by-Step: Making Your Own CBD Bath Salts

  1. Measure your salts. Start with about 1–2 cups of Epsom salts in a bowl.
  2. Add CBD drops. Add your desired amount of CBD oil directly to the salts.
  3. Mix in essential oils. A few drops of essential oil can add a soothing aroma to your bath.
  4. Add to your bath. Pour the mixture into warm running water and let it dissolve.

Why CBD Bath Salts?

CBD is naturally anti-inflammatory and can help soothe aches and pains. Adding CBD drops to bath salts is a gentle, non-invasive way to support your body’s recovery, reduce stress, and promote deeper relaxation.

Whether you’re sore from a workout, feeling stressed, or just need better sleep, a CBD-infused bath is a luxurious yet easy wellness ritual. We highly recommend trying infused bath salts for a calming, restorative experience at home.

Tip: If you’re new to CBD, start with a smaller dose to see how you feel and increase as needed. Always use high-quality, lab-tested CBD for the best results.

A Note on Safety Before You Soak

CBD bath salts are applied to a large surface area of skin at once, so it's worth taking a few precautions before your first soak. If you have sensitive skin, are trying a new fragrance or essential oil blend for the first time, or have any history of skin reactions, do a patch test first: dissolve a small amount in warm water and apply it to your inner forearm, then wait 24 hours to check for any redness or irritation before using a full bath's worth.

Avoid bath salts on broken or irritated skin, and skip the essential oil blends entirely if you're pregnant or nursing until you've talked to your doctor, since some essential oils commonly used in bath products are not recommended during pregnancy.

Looking for Targeted Relief Instead of a Soak?

Bath salts are a great whole-body relaxation ritual, but if you're dealing with a specific sore spot, like a stiff shoulder or a tight lower back, our Ice Hot Roll-On is built for exactly that kind of targeted, on-the-spot relief and takes seconds to apply.
