Proof publishes this list and ranks its own product first. We explain how we chose every pick, and you can check each brand's lab results yourself.

The best CBD tincture is one whose lab report you can open and read before you buy: a certificate of analysis (COA) that matches the product, shows how much CBD is really in the bottle, states a THC result, and tells you which contaminant tests were run. After that, it comes down to spectrum (full, broad, or isolate), strength, and price.

We compared seven tinctures from brands that all publish lab results, mixing full-spectrum and broad-spectrum oils. Our own Proof CBD Comfort Drops come first, and we say plainly where they fall short.

A tincture is CBD extract in a carrier oil, taken by dropper. Research on CBD is still limited, and if you take prescription medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start.

How we chose

We used criteria you can check yourself:

Public lab results. The brand posts COAs or a batch lookup on its own site. We dropped Lazarus Naturals, Extract Labs, Cornbread Hemp, and CBDistillery because their sites blocked our requests and we could not confirm their lab pages.
THC result and date. We report the THC figure from the COA we read, with its date, or the brand's own THC statement where we did not read a COA.
What the COA covers. Full contaminant panel on the finished product, potency only, or something in between.
Label clarity. Whether the product page states total CBD per bottle.
Price. The one-time price listed on the brand's site on 23 Sep 2026, for the size noted.

A note on federal law: Section 781 takes effect 12 Nov 2026. It measures total THC after decarboxylation and caps it at 0.4 mg per container. Where a COA shows more than that, we state the tested figure and date. We do not predict what any brand will do, and this is not legal advice.

1. Proof CBD Comfort Drops

Proof CBD Comfort Drops are a broad-spectrum hemp extract in MCT coconut oil: 1,000 mg of CBD in a 15 ml bottle, 30 doses of about 33 mg each, listed at $35. The finished-product COA from SC Labs (Santa Cruz, California; ISO/IEC 17025), issued 15 May 2025 for batch HT0101-050325, shows 1,027 mg total CBD per bottle and total THC not detected. Proof is a women-owned company in Sebastopol, in Sonoma County, California, making CBD products since 2016. To be exact about testing: the finished-product COA covers potency and microbials. The full contaminant panels (pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, mycotoxins) are posted for the raw CBD distillate, tested by KCA Laboratories in November 2025, with THC not detected.

Good fit if: you want a THC-not-detected tincture with a clear mg-per-bottle label and a lab report you can check.

Not the best fit if: you want a full-spectrum option (we do not make one), a choice of strengths or flavors (Comfort Drops come in one strength), or a finished-product COA newer than May 2025 that includes contaminant panels on the bottle itself.

2. Charlotte's Web Original Formula 50MG CBD Oil

Charlotte's Web runs a lot-number lookup on its certificates of analysis page, with PDFs by product and size. The Original Formula COA we read (30 mL Mint Chocolate, lot A01473, Eurofins, 5 Feb 2026) is a nine-page finished-product report covering cannabinoids, mycotoxins, residual solvents, and glyphosate. It measured 1,760 mg of total CBD per container.

This full-spectrum oil is listed at $119.99 for 30 mL (about 50 mg of CBD per 1 mL serving). The product page prints neither a THC figure nor a per-bottle CBD total; the COA has both. That COA shows 54.7 mg of total THC per container (5 Feb 2026), compared with the 0.4 mg-per-container cap in Section 781, effective 12 Nov 2026.

Good fit if: you want a full-spectrum oil with a detailed, recent finished-product report and lot lookup.

Not the best fit if: you want THC-free, a lower price, or a per-bottle CBD total on the product page.

3. cbdMD Broad Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture

cbdMD sells its broad-spectrum tincture in four strengths (1,500, 3,000, 6,000, and 7,500 mg), from 50 to 250 mg of CBD per serving. The 1,500 mg bottle is listed at $64.99. The hemp extract lists CBD, CBG, and CBN.

The brand says it tests all product batches at an ISO-accredited laboratory and offers a five-digit batch lookup and QR codes on its COA page. The lab is not named on that page, and the latest-batch results load by script, so we did not read a COA for this list. The product page says the oil is "batch-tested to ensure no detectable THC," and it also carries a warning that it "contains THC derived from hemp" and may cause a positive drug screen. If THC matters to you, check the batch report for your bottle.

Good fit if: you want high-strength options and a batch lookup.

Not the best fit if: you want the lab named up front, or consistent THC wording on the product page.

4. Joy Organics Organic THC-Free CBD Tincture

Joy Organics keeps it simple: two ingredients, organic olive oil and organic broad-spectrum hemp extract, and USDA organic certification per the product page. The 900 mg size (30 mg per serving) is listed at $49.95, with 1,350 and 2,250 mg sizes too. COAs are listed by lot on its quality assurance page, and each bottle has a QR code.

The COA we read, for the 1,350 mg unflavored bottle (lot 260326A, SC Labs, potency issued 25 Mar 2026), shows total THC not detected and 1,939.65 mg of total CBD, about 144% of the label by our arithmetic. The finished-bottle reports cover potency and microbiology; the pesticide and solvent report in that file was issued before the batch and appears to cover the hemp extract. That is the same distinction we make about our own reports.

Good fit if: you want organic certification, an olive oil carrier, and a THC-not-detected result.

Not the best fit if: you want the CBD result to match the label closely, or contaminant panels on the finished bottle.

5. R+R Medicinals Multifunctional CBD Tinctures

R+R Medicinals names three labs on its lab testing page (SC Labs, Botanacor Labs, and AgriScience Labs) and posts lot-level PDFs per product. Its full-spectrum tincture is listed at $58 for 1,000 mg in 1 fl oz, with 2,500 mg ($88) and 5,000 mg ($133) sizes.

The COA we read for this oil (1,000 mg unflavored, lot 1873, issued 15 May 2025) shows 1,116.18 mg total CBD and 39.81 mg total THC per unit. For context, Section 781, effective 12 Nov 2026, caps total THC at 0.4 mg per container. R+R also makes a THC-free version, which we cover in our THC-free CBD oils list.

Good fit if: you want a full-spectrum oil in several strengths, from a brand that names its labs.

Not the best fit if: you want THC-free (choose R+R's THC-free line instead) or a COA newer than May 2025 for this product.

6. BATCH Calm CBD Oil Tincture

BATCH, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, keeps its lab results in a lot-level database with a "Latest Lot" flag, which makes it easy to find the current report. Calm is a full-spectrum oil with a terpene blend (limonene, nerolidol, myrcene), 1,000 mg in 30 mL, about 17 mg of CBD per 0.5 mL, listed at $60.

We did not read a Calm-specific COA for this list, and the product page did not give a THC figure, so check the latest lot before you buy.

Good fit if: you want a full-spectrum oil with added terpenes and an easy-to-search lab database.

Not the best fit if: you want THC-free, or a THC figure on the product page.

7. Kanibi Full Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture

Kanibi makes its products in Eugene, Oregon, and posts PDFs per product on its certificate of analysis page, tested by Solida Labs (ISO 17025). The full-spectrum tincture is listed at $49 for 750 mg.

The COA we read is labeled for a 1,500 mg bottle (Nov 2025) and reports delta-9 THC and THCa below the limit of quantitation (LOQ), which means THC may be present but in an amount too small to measure precisely. It is a two-page cannabinoid potency report, with no contaminant panels. Match the report to your bottle.

Good fit if: you want a lower-priced full-spectrum oil and are comfortable with a potency-only report.

Not the best fit if: you want contaminant testing on the COA, or a report that matches the exact size you buy.

What is the difference between a CBD tincture and a CBD oil?

Shoppers use the terms interchangeably. Traditionally a tincture used alcohol, but most sold today, including all seven here, are oil-based. Our guide to using a CBD tincture covers timing and what to expect.

Is full-spectrum or broad-spectrum better?

Neither is better for everyone. Full-spectrum keeps THC along with other hemp compounds; broad-spectrum keeps other compounds but aims to remove THC. If you are drug tested or want to avoid THC, broad-spectrum or isolate makes more sense. See full-spectrum vs broad-spectrum.
